Go Outdoors

No outro fim de semana tive o prazer de um dos serviços porporcionados pela GoO utdors Aventura. A actividade elegida foi o btt na Aldeia de Xisto da Ferraria de S. João.

Logo no primeiro contacto pude verificar a qualidade do serviço. O atendimento foi feito por uma rapariga super simpática ( infelizmente esqueci-me do seu nome) que me explicou todos os detalhes e ainda me informou de actividade que iriam decorrer no mesmo dia.

O preço da actividade foi de 15€. Por este preço esperava material de fraca qualidade. Qual foi o meu espanto quando à nossa espera na casa do zé sapateiro estavam à nossa espera gary fishers com suspensão a ar e tudo :D.

Lá ingressamos pelos caminhos marcados. Existem vários caminhos com várias cores(dificuldades). Infelizmente neste Portugal nada parece resistir ao vandalismo e como tal já faltavam algumas placas. Para a próxima alugo tmb o gps com os percursos!

Apesar de tudo os percursos revelaram-se muito bons!No final ainda encontrámos o pessoal da go-outdors que novamente foram super prestáveis :)

Levam a minha recomendação :)

O coleccionador de sons

O livro devorado a semana passada foi "O coleccionador de sons".O livro conta-nos a história de uma personagem com o dom de colecionar e reproduzir os sons que ouve. Tal dom vem acompanhado de uma maldição trmenda. Mais não conto porque não sou pessoa de estragar livros aos outros.

O livro apresenta-se bem escrito e consegue transportar o leitor para o cenário nele descrito.No entanto a história não satisfaz pela sua simplicidade e previsibilidade, a qual não me agradou tanto sendo eu um apreciador de thrillers cheios de twists.

Em conclusão poderei dizer que é um livro que agradará a todos pela sua história e envolvência mas que dificilmente chegará a carregar o título de "livro inesquecível".

The LadyKiller

Durante a busca de um bom thriller deparei-me com o livro "The Ladykiller" escrito pela Martina Cole. O prefácio não prometia um grande livro, no entanto a quantidade de criticas positivas que o rodeavam chamou-me a atenção.

Nas primeira meia dúzia de páginas a primeira desilusão: o leitor descobre logo quem é o assassino! Pensava eu que este facto iria retirar todo o interesse que o livro poderia vir a ter mas não poderia estar mais enganado.

Durante toda a história somos acompanhados por um narrador Omipresente que nos delicia/ horroriza com as suas descrições promenorizadas que nos permite entrar um pouco melhor dentro das mentes das personagens.

Apesar de se encontrar classificado como thriller eu classificaria este livro como romance misturado com policial.

Este livro leva a minha recomendação!

Chego eu sábado a santa cruz à espera de encontrar um temporal danado quando, para minha surpresa, deparo-me com um tempo fabuloso!

Toca a tirar as bicicletas e vamos passear! Seguindo a ciclovia, tentando ir o máximo de tempo junto à costa, percorremos 12 agradáveis kilómetros desde santa cruz até ao hipódromo de Santa Rita.

Abraçando árvores em Monsanto

“Abraçando árvores recebe-se muita energia porque são seres mt especiais” disse-me alguém…e a partir daí ja abracei bastantes.Hoje não foi excepção!

Hoje voltei a monsanto com o meu amigo Mateus, aqui vai um vídeo instrutivo de uma das maravilhosas secções que passamos:

PS2:Para aqueles que irão pensar que é canja, aquele bocado tem cerca de 1 metro de altura e uma inclinação relativa ao solo de cerca de 80º que parece 90º a primeira vez que se chega lá!:D

Pois é hoje lá resolvemos levantar-nos mais cedo e ir para Monsanto fazer um percurso organizado pelo espaço Monsanto.

Só vos digo que vale mais do que os irrisórios 1,48€ que se pagam!Os guias são impecáveis, o ritmo da passeata foi adequado a todos, os lugares por onde se passou foram excelentes e ,o mais importante, não houve subidas exageradas (embora tivessem existido algumas descidas mais inclinadas o que, como alguém diria , não é necessariamente mau :D)

Aqui estão os 2 “cogumelos” que decidiram tirar o rabo da cama cedinho, enfiar uns “calçonetes” ridículos e desbravar algum mato:

Este fim de semana num evento da empresa onde trabalho passou-se o seguinte vídeo:

Que saudades tinha desta música.Lembro-me que esteve no tops durante imenso tempo durante um verão e que a ouvia constantemente em casa do Zip enquanto jogávamos Magic The Gathering.

Na altura não percebi bem porque esteve nos tops, mas ao voltar a escutar após estes anos todos parece que lhe ganhei um novo gosto.

Hoje foi dia de BTT!

Eu e o meu amigo animal político decidimos ir à descoberta do desconhecido…literalmente :D!

Começamos o nosso percursos na pista de radiomodelismo em direcção ao infinito e mais além,ou seja norte :D!

A palavra do dia era “trilho”.A cada curva um novo trilho à espera de ser desbravado!Muita descida até ao aqueduto das águas livres o que implicou…..MUITA SUBIDA!!

Na volta deparamo-nos com um single track com uma inclinação bastante suceptível a quedas, mas nós estava-mos lá pra isso (não para as quedas..)!

Depois de uns pinos na bicicleta(NOTA:Nunca travar com o travão da frente em percursos inclinados) chegámos à conclusão que desconheciamos a nossa localização, o que nos levou a perguntar a um colega betetista que se iniciava num trilho pouco amigo da estabilidade:

PerleKes: “Oh onde é que vai ter essa descida?”

Amigo btt com pinta de engenheiro geógrafo: “Vai ter lá abaiiixoooo!”

Depois de muita descida lá fomos até ao fim do parque de campismo de monsanto que é um beco sem saída para ciclistas. Mas até lá chegar ainda tivemos que fazer limbo por baixo de uma placa de localidade!

Voltar a subir…dar a volta …e depois…DEEEEEEEEEESSCEEEERRRRR….Monsanto…Ajuda…PASTEIS DE BELEEEEM!!…Qual não foi a minha surpresa ao ver que a fila chegava cá fora até +/- ao StarBucks cafe!

Quem salvou o dia foram os pais do Zip que se anteciparam e compraram uns deliciosos pasteis de belém que fizeram as delicias dos ciclcistas desgastados por 15 kms de mato!

Resta-me aqui agradecer ao meu amigo Zip por me ter emprestado um par de rodas expetacular porque de outra forma não conseguiria aguentar tanta subida!

PS1: Lembrem-se meninos..capacete protege a cabeça..mas n o penteado :D:D:D:D

PS2: Quem tiver aquele sonho de menina de andar de ponei pode faze-lo no parque de campismo de Monsanto (ao pé do campismo, na escola de treino de cães)

PS3:Tom Tom sucks para btt …(ou então a gente n percebe um cu daquilo :D)

Today,me and my friend Mateus decided to go out on a bike ride till Ponte das Lezírias to take some photos.

It amazes me how small it makes me feel, when I'm under these giant structures build by man. Mateus didn't shared my point of view..well I'm sure feeling small is something that is very common to him(1,68m tall) :p ( nevertheless is a big friend ;) )

Well, before any comments, let me say that I spent very little time on this places because we wanted to see all Ireland in 4 days. As result the photos didn't came out as I planed.
I had to choose between photography or enjoying the place..and this time the last choice prevailed!

Ireland - Lights From Heaven

Can't remember where was this church...But it was like a small abbey or something. The most amazing thing about it was its amazing inside light created by the fractals.

Hope you can fell through the photo what I felt in that moment ;)

Ireland - Cliffs of Moher

We went to the cliffs of moher on the 3rd day of out trip. The journey through the miles of road till there were worth of it, because the cliffs simply take your breath away.

I'll have to check all other photos, but I chose this one because its different from the gazilions of pictures you'll find on the Internet.

I didn't stayed for the sunset, but I'll advice you to wait for it, because I was there till the beginning of the sunset , and it seems that the place becomes even more special at sunset.

Just don't forget some coats because the place is damn windy!

Oh by the way, in the end of the clifs there's a sign saying :

if you don't care you will be rewarded with strong winds and MAYBE you'll fall of the cliff...But that is only for the ones that "não cheiram a leitinho" :p

well...kids don't try this at home...or cliffs of moher :p

Unfortunately I only caught the "lusco-fusco". Next time I'll skip dinner and I'll go till that giant rock with my tripod to take some long exposures of the water. Do you know where to find cheap ND filters?:p

Translation: Saudade(Portuguese word that cannot be translated) means "feel sad about happy memories" . This is the best translation of this word i heard till now.

I took this photo in Prague, near Charles bridge. If anyone knows what is that wood thing please let me know!

Big Trip - Food

No, this didn't consisted only in drinking alcohol and eating cereal snacks and Cerelac!!

We did enjoy a lot of local traditional food.

In the photo above you can see the first place where I did eat something.I choose a strange thing that looked like a Portuguese "merenda" but it had cheese and red fruits jam :|

Next traditional food: Wiener schnitzel in Vienna.Is almost the same thing as "panado de frango" in portugal or "pollo rebozado" in Spanish :D.

In Vienna I also had Hot Love :p..an Ice cream with hot Raspberry .

In Czech republic I had Vepřo-knedlo-zelo:

ok..so its not my great achievement in photography..I was so hungry that photography was the last thing on my mind :D

As always, beer was the elected drink!Here I drunk Gambrinos, probably the best bear in the whole world.

Notice, in the back, where they put the napkins, forks and knifes! It's quite different from Portugal. This way they don't really need towels.

The cabbage thing was delicious. I'm gonna try to do it sometime!

It was a pity that in Krakow I didn't tasted the traditional food!

Big Trip - Running Late

"Don't worry! We've enough time!"-in a while we're running for some kind of transportation!

This is in station of Prague, when Filipe decided to use his backpack in trolley mode instead of carrying it in his back.So we had to wait for him to go around, like 3 minutes.

After that we're heading to Prague with no destination.We asked for some help to some friends and they head us to a Disco called Bombay!Not what we were needing in that time!

Nevertheless we didn't miss any train neither plane..but we ran a lot :D

Advice to all people around there: If you're are in a hurry to catch a plane never pull out your bag from inside de X-Ray machine!!(happened to me)!It slows you down a LOT!!!

"Gooooaaaaaaal."-all Portuguese people in Czech Republic game against Portugal

Before this trip Filipe said to me that Vienna would be even better with the Euro, but I wasn't sure of that.Now I've changed my mind.

The city felt so alive with all those people screaming like crazy for their countries!People from other countries betting ( someone lost money :p) and cheering for Portugal was great.

Unknown individuals were so friendly to us just because our team has won..

Big Trip - Half Tired

If I feel half tired than I am now when I wake up, I will not get out at night.-Flip

That what he said before our one hour power nap in Kathys home!

We were so tired that day.We had only 3 sleep hours in the plane that day.But in the end party all night long and Portugal soccer match had woke us!

when we got home we realized that we had no dinner, so we ran in the rain till the supermarket to buy some food(Tuna,Bread,Mayonnaise)..that nap was looking more and more like the holy grail in this trip.

This is Luís, the main reason that this trip was made. It was suppose to be a trip of one week in Prague with him and Lena and Lucy (I'll tell you about her later on),but It turned to be Vienna (Austria)-> Prague (Rep.Czech) -> Krakow(Poland).

Passeio das 100 curvas

Hoje foi dia de passeio!

Foram 10€ de gasóleo muito bem gastos!Lá sai eu da castanheira sem rumo à procura de boas estradas e isso meus amigos foi o que encontrei!

Todas as estradas por onde andei possuiam excelente piso, pouco transito, lindas paisagens e muitas curvas (bom para mim :p)

A primeira paragem foi perto do sobral monte agraço onde armado em indiana jones me meti dentro do campo!(btw quero ir ver o filme quando estrear!)

Digo-ve que apanhei um susto dos diabos com as lebres a fugirem por entre as ervas (pelo menos quero pensar que eram lebres) :p

Continuando o percurso, parei mais à frente na adega cooperativa do Sobral de Monte Agraço onde tirei esta foto:

Pois é...mais uma vez arrisquei a minha própria vida para vos trazer estas imagens :p..estava para lá um cão sem trela a ladrar pra mim que se fosse um osso com vida...

Já agora...aquilo branco não sao mamas gigantes a crescerem do chão ( I checked twice..mas também não sei bem o que são..se algum esclarecido me fizer o favor de explicar agradeço!

Bem depois disto ingresso por torres vedras e aí me deparo com o dilema entre ir para santa cruz ou voltar pelo (divertido) caminho das "100 curvas" . Como vi muito trânsito no sentido santa cruz, optei por este último e fui parar ao montejunto:

Lá parei à borda da estrada e tive que vestir o meu blusão de reserva, que aquilo no montejunto é inverno todo o santo dia!

As minhas fotos não fazes justiça à beleza que se pode observar neste sítio, por isso aconcelho a irem lá visitar pessoalmente!

Estava aqui a organizar umas fotos no picassa e encontrei mais estas duas que penso nunca ter esposto:

Esta primeira foi tiranda numas magnificas e relaxantes férias em sesimbra, durante um jogo de poker ao ar livre, isto se a memória não me falha:

Esta foi de um de muitos passeios no montejunto, e se bem me recordo foi com o João Mateus

Agora num passado mais recente:

Fui ao espetáculo do Pedro Tochas e novamente recomendo a todos fazerem o mesmo.É no minimo hilariante :D
Experimentei o Restaurante Mamma Rosa, o qual dou uma nota de 7/10.Prima por ter o Spaguethy Mamma Rosa STYLE!!
Descobri que a palavra "arrebentar" existe ao contrário do que muitas pessoas dizem!

Agora que estou de férias a ver se arranjo mais um tempinho para ir tirar umas fotos por ai!!
Quero ver se compro uns livros para ler no comboio (já agora sugiram nos comentarios alguns titúlos de bons livros)

Pois é meus amigos, andava eu a ver relógios que nunca hei de ter, quando reparei que a IWC tem uma gama de relógios com nome a honrar o nosso grande povo:

Fotos do passeio à chuva

Hoje foi dia de passeio!

Lá se meteu a cambada toda dentro do Astra e lá fomos pro meio do campo tirar fotos.

Já há muito que tinha vontade de um passeio deste género, mas infelizmente o tempo pregou-nos uma partida e estas foram as poucas fotos que se conseguiu antes de começar a chover.
